Dress Code Policy

Bryant University maintains a business casual dress standard for employees as the norm throughout the year. Employees are expected to use good judgment and dress appropriately for their roles and any business or campus needs. There may be occasions when more professional attire is required, and employees should dress accordingly.

During designated periods, such as non-academic sessions, employees may dress more casually on Fridays. During these times, jeans, Bryant (Bulldog) apparel, and sneakers are permitted. Outside of these designated periods, standard business casual expectations apply.

Business casual attire generally includes items such as:

• Slacks or equivalent casual business wear
• Shirts with collars, blouses, or sweaters
• Dresses or skirts of appropriate length
• Business casual footwear

Unacceptable business casual attire includes:

• Jeans, shorts, mini skirts
• Workout clothing/sweat suits
• Halter or cropped tank tops
• T-shirts (with or without slogans)
• Sneakers, athletic shoes, flip-flops

Employees should ensure their attire remains neat, appropriate, and consistent with a professional university environment at all times.
